8.4. CLEANING.
Inspect the exterior of the equipment. the exterior surface should be free of dust, dirt, grease, and fungus.
- Remove dust loose dirt with a clean cloth.
WARNING : Cleaning compound is flammabel and its fumes are toxic. Provide adequate ventilation. Do not use near flame.
- Remove grease, fungus, and ground-in dirt from the case; use a cloth dampened (not wet) with cleaning compund.
- Remove dust or dirt from plugs and jacks and with a brush.
CAUTION: Do not press on the meter face (glass) when cleaning; the meter may become damaged.
- Clean the front panel, meter, and control knobs; use a soft, clean cloth. If dirt is difficult to remove, dampen the cloth with water; use mild soap if necessary.
